Following a total knee replacement, Plaintiff presented to a skilled nursing facility for rehabilitation before returning home. Preuss Foster was able to uncover evidence that Defendant knew Plaintiff was a fall risk and knew she required walking assistance. Defendant failed to assist Plaintiff into the shower, which resulted in Plaintiff falling and reopening her surgical site. Preuss Foster also found evidence that Defendant’s facility was understaffed, and the employees were undertrained.
