Luke Callahan has a broad litigation practice. He represents clients in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence, as well as commercial and business disputes. He believes a strong work ethic and attention to detail are key to navigating any legal issue.
Luke was born and raised in Kansas City. He earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri – Columbia. During undergraduate, Luke was the winner of the Wall Street Journal Award for his work consulting with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. He received his law degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2015. He was a published member of the UMKC Law Review. In practice, he served as an editor of “Toolkit for Attorneys – Products Liability,” a forthcoming book to be published by one of the most well-recognized authorities on FDA regulations. Luke has also been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star in the area of Products Liability every year since 2019.
Luke has successfully litigated cases against the biggest companies in the world. He worked with State Attorney Generals, counties, and local governments in prosecuting public nuisance cases against the makers of narcotic pain medications. He traveled the country representing thousands of individuals in lawsuits against the manufacturers of defective hip, knee, and transvaginal mesh implants. He also has experience defending Fortune 500 companies in commercial disputes. Luke has successfully tried cases to a jury in addition to resolving matters through early settlement, dispositive motions, and mediation and arbitration.
Luke was excited to join Preuss | Foster in 2021 because he strongly believes in the values of the firm. He understands the vast majority of people have never been involved in a lawsuit. He makes the process easy to understand and truly takes pride in helping those that have suffered injuries and injustices at the hands of others.
